Services

You may be able to have one or more of the services listed below fully or partially funded.

  • Medical case management: A skilled case manager can help you find any type of provider you need, which can include doctors; dentists; mental health providers & substance use providers.
  • Adherence counseling: The case manager will not only help you find medical providers but will also work with you to stay as healthy as possible by being part of a team with you and your doctor and by supporting the education provided by your doctor.
  • HIV medical care: You may be able to get funding for medical appointments & laboratory test costs that are related to your HIV status, if you do not have any other way to pay for them. Ryan White Part C funds are the payer of last resort, so your medical insurance and ADAP must be billed first.
  • Nutrition counseling: You may be able to meet with a registered dietician if you need help to figure out what foods would be best for you to eat, since everyone is different.
  • Nutritional supplements/vitamins: You may be able to get certain supplements if they are ordered by your infectious disease provider and there is no other funding source, such as ADAP or insurance.
  • Medications: You may be able to get certain medications if they relate to your HIV status and are ordered or approved by your infectious disease provider and there is no other funding source, such as ADAP or insurance.
  • Durable medical equipment: You may be eligible for assistance in purchasing medical equipment with a valid prescription from your provider.
  • Mental health counseling sessions. You may even be able to meet with a provider who will come to your house.

  • Transportation help to attend HIV related medical appointments (These funds are extremely limited)
  • Food pantry/personal care items, such as incontinence products like Depends.

Ryan White Part C funds can only be used if there are no other payment options, this includes: ADAP; MaineCare; Medicare & private insurance.
